Definition of Rifa’a al-Tahtawi (1801-1873 AD): ( Education is what builds the child’s character on what is worthy of a virtuous society, and develops in it all the virtues that protect him from vices, and enables him to go beyond himself to cooperate with his peers in doing good).
Definition of Sati’ Al-Husari (1881-1968 AD): (Education is the upbringing of a strong-bodied individual, of good character, correct thinking, loving his country, proud of his nationalism, aware of his duties, and provided with the information necessary for him in his life).
Definition of Ismail Al-Qabbani (1898-1963 AD): (Education is helping the individual to achieve himself until he reaches his maximum material and spiritual perfection within the framework of the society in which he lives).
Definition of Herbert Spencer (1820-1903 AD): (Education is the preparation of the individual to live a full life).
Definition of Judd Dewey (1845-1905 AD): (Education is life and it is an adaptation process between the individual and his environment).

Scholars have continued to put forward modern definitions of the concept of education, each according to his point of view, but the definitions, no matter how numerous and evolved, all refer to the meanings of progress, advancement, perfection, growth, upbringing, and development for the better. Modern definitions of the term education:
